Arthur works hard. Every month, the wall at his office gets a new star beside the name of whoever won Employee of the Month. Every month, it is not Arthur. He tells himself that if he just pushes a little harder, it will be his turn. He works later. He brings work home. His wife sets him a plate. His daughter slides a drawing under his nose. He never looks up. This is a film about two impossible months in one man's life — the office, the home, the chair where he works until he cannot. Without a single line of dialogue, it watches a man trade everything that matters for a star on a shared board.
Employee of the Month was built for the Higgsfield Global Film Festival on a sub-10,000-credit budget. It exists to prove a single thing: that restraint is the luxury. One man. One wall. One star. A minimal story carrying a $1M-level emotional payload — not through spectacle, but through every deliberate frame. Steel-blue by day at the office, warm honey at home. Two worlds that never quite touch. The brass star, the crayon drawing, the cat who knows — every hidden asset is inside the project, exactly where it was made.
The film was produced entirely with AI generation tools — Seedance 2.5 for every moving image, Nano Banana and Seedream 5.0 for the stills and frames, Soul Cinema for the faces, locations, and world-building. Adobe Firefly handled the score and key sound effects. Adobe Premiere and Photoshop assembled every piece into the final picture. The last third of the film changes everything you thought you were watching. We will not tell you what happens. You will feel it.
